Silk·épil SuperSoft Plus Body System is equipped with two different head attachments for epilating and shaving. · Before use, check whether your voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the transformer. Always use the 12 V transformer, type PI-41-77 V-3. The high-precision epilator head is specially designed for a comfortable and long-lasting hair removal. Even very short hairs (0.5 mm in length) will thoroughly be removed at the root. In general, regrowing hairs will become finer and thinner. Additionally, the soothing attachment makes the epilation process more gentle. It provides a pleasant tickle, thus masking the epilation feeling. The shaver head is perfectly suited for fast and thorough hair removal in delicate body areas, i.e. underarm, bikini line. Read these use instructions carefully and completely before using the appliance. All micro-injuries caused by plucking hairs may lead to inflammation through the penetration of bacteria into the skin (e.g. when sliding the appliance over the skin). Thoroughly cleaning the tweezer head before each use minimizes the risk of infection. Depending on the condition of your skin and hairs, you may experience Important · This appliance must never be used in the vicinity of or over water (e.g. a filled wash basin, bathtub or shower). · Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. 6 some irritation (e.g. feeling of pain, skin reddening) when you start using the product. When removing hairs at root level, this is a normal reaction that will quickly disappear again. If, after 36 hours, your skin still shows irritations, we recommend to contact your physician. In general, the skin reactions and the sensation of pain tend to diminish considerably with the repeated use of Silk·épil. If you have any doubts about using this appliance, please consult your physician. In the following cases, this appliance should only be used after prior consultation with a physician: ­ eczema, wounds, inflamed skin reactions such as folliculitis (purulent hair follicles) and varicose veins ­ around moles ­ reduced immunity of the skin, e.g. diabetes mellitus, during pregnancy, Raynaud's disease ­ haemophilia or immune deficiency. · Silk·épil is designed to remove hair on legs, but can also be used on all sensitive areas like arms, underarms or the bikini line. · When switched on, the appliance must never come in contact with the hair on your head, eyelashes, ribbons, etc. to prevent any danger of injury as well as to prevent blockage or damage to the appliance. Underarm and bikini line epilation Use tests monitored by dermatologists have shown that the epilator head may as well be used underarm and at the bikini line. Be aware that these areas are particularly sensitive to pain. However, the pain sensation will diminish with repeated usage. For this specific application, we would like to give the following advice: · Before epilating, thoroughly clean the respective area to remove residue (like deodorant). Then dry carefully with a towel using a dabbing action to avoid skin irritation. · Hair should not be longer than 5 mm. · After use, apply Silk·épil cream or baby powder (don't use alcoholic deodorants). How to operate your Silk·épil Before starting off, make sure that the epilator head is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Your skin must be dry and free from grease or cream. · Plug the cord connector into the socket and plug the transformer into an electrical outlet. 1 Select the tweezer grip: + full tweezer grip for normal to thicker hair ­ reduced tweezer grip for finer hair 7 · Switching on 0 = Off 1 = For gentle epilation 2 = For normal epilation 3 = For high-speed epilation 6 Give the top of the housing a quick clean with the brush. Put back on the epilator head. 2 Rub your skin to lift short hairs. Apply the Silk·épil at right angles (90°) against your skin. For best epilation results, make sure that the soothing attachment wheels always keep in contact with the skin surface. Pressing gently, guide it slowly against the hair growth. Underarm this means guiding the appliance in different directions. Do not press too hard. On bony parts, we recommend to use a lower switch setting. Some useful tips · For the first use or if not having epilated for a long time, we recommend to first shave longer hairs. After 1-2 weeks, the regrowing, short hairs are much easier to epilate. · In the beginning, it is advisable to epilate in the evening, so that any possible reddening can disappear overnight. · Hair is easier to remove after bathing or showering (but remember your skin must be completely dry). · After epilating, we recommend applying Silk·épil cream or another moisture cream to relax the skin and relieve slight skin irritations. · It may happen that regrowing fine hairs do not manage to get through to the skin surface. In order to prevent the risk of ingrowing hairs, we recommend the regular use of massage sponges (e.g. after showering) or exfoliation peelings. By a gentle scrubbing action, the upper skin layer is removed and fine hairs can get through to the skin surface. 3 When epilating behind the knee, keep the leg stretched out straight; when epilating underarm, your arm should be raised up. Cleaning the epilator head 4 After each use, switch off and unplug the appliance. Take off the soothing attachment and brush out the rows of wheels. 5 Thoroughly clean the tweezer element with the cleaning brush and also disinfect it with a few drops of Silk·épil cleaning fluid or alcohol. While cleaning, you can turn the tweezer element manually. To take off the epilator head, press the two release bars on the front and back and pull it off. 8 B Shaving 8 Give the inside of the shaver head housing a quick clean. 1 Put on the shaver head by clicking it in. 9 Click in the shaving system and put on the protective cap. Note: Do not shave with a damaged foil. In such case, have the shaving system replaced at a Braun Service Centre. Subject to change without notice. This product conforms to the EMC-Requirements as laid down by the Council Directive 89/336/EEC and to the Low Voltage Regulation (73/23 EEC). 2 For shaving, set the switch to position 3. 3 For best results, guide the shaving system so that about half of the foil and one of the trimmers are in contact with your skin. The curved trimmer first raises all long hairs and cuts them off. Then the flexible foil follows to smooth away any stubble. The shaving system gives you equal shaving action on both trimmer sides, so you can move it forwards and backwards as you wish. Cleaning and maintenance of the shaver head 4 After every use, unplug the appliance. To remove the shaving system, push the release button è. 5 Tap the bottom on a flat surface. 6 Do not brush the foil surface in order to avoid damaging it. 7 Oil the trimmers sparingly with sewing machine oil at least every 3 months. El cabezal de alta precisión está especialmente diseñado para una depilación suave y duradera. Incluso los pelos más cortos (0,5 mm) son extraídos desde la raíz. Importante · No utilice el aparato en lugares húmedos ni cerca de líquidos (por ej. en el lavabo lleno de agua, en la bañera o en la ducha). · Mantenga el aparato fuera del alcance de los niños. · Antes de utilizar el aparato, compruebe que el voltaje de la red corresponda al voltaje marcado A Depilación de raíz Todos los métodos de depilación con sistema de arranque que extraen el vello de raíz, pueden producir algo de dolor. Las pequeñas irritaciones causadas por la extracción del vello de raíz pueden provocar inflamaciones al estar expuestas a posibles contactos con microbacterias (ej. al deslizarse la depiladora sobre la piel). Dependiendo del tipo y estado de su piel y vello, podría producirse cierta irritación, por ej. una sensación de dolor o enrojecimiento de la piel tras los primeros usos del producto. Esta 10 es una reacción normal que se produce cuando se arranca el vello de raíz y que desaparece rápidamente. Si al cabo de 36 horas su piel sigue mostrando irritaciones, le recomendamos que consulte a su médico. Generalmente, las reacciones en la piel y la sensación de dolor tienden a disminuir considerablemente con el uso continuado de Silk·épil. Si usted tiene alguna duda acerca del uso de este producto, consulte a su médico antes de utilizar su Silk·épil. En los siguientes casos la depiladora deberá usarse sólo después de consultar a su especialista: ­ eczema, heridas, inflamaciones de la piel como foliculitis (folículos purulentos del pelo) y varices ­ alrededor de lunares ­ en casos como durante el embarazo, diabetes melitus o enfermedad de Raynaud ­ hemofilia o inmuno deficiencia. · Silk·épil está diseñada para la depilación de las piernas, sin embargo también puede ser utilizada en áreas más sensibles como brazos, axilas o línea del bikini. · Cuando el aparato esté funcionando, evite el contacto con el cabello, pestañas, etc. para prevenir cualquier daño, así como que el aparato quede bloqueado o se estropee. Depilación de axilas y línea bikini Tests de uso controlados por dermatólogos han demostrado que el cabezal de arranque se puede utilizar también en axilas y línea bikini. Cabe tener en cuenta que esta zona es especialmente sensible al dolor. A pesar de ello, la sensación de dolor disminuye con el uso repetido. Para el uso del cabezal de arranque en axilas y línea bikini resulta conveniente seguir los siguientes consejos: · Antes de la depilación, limpie cuidadosamente al área respectiva para eliminar cualquier residuo (p.e. desodorante). A continuación, séquela cuidadosamente con una toalla mediante pequeños toquecitos para evitar irritaciones en la piel. · El vello a depilar no deberá ser más largo de 5 mm. · Después de la depilación, aplicar crema Silk·épil o polvos talco (no usar desodorantes con contenido alcohólico). Cómo utilizar la Silk·épil Antes de empezar la depilación asegúrese de que el cabezal esté limpio y desinfectado. La piel debe estar seca y libre de grasas o cremas. · Introducir el cable en la conexión del apara ...
