MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD IMPORTANTES Cuando se usen aparatos eléctricos, han de seguirse siempre unas precauciones de seguridad básicas, incluyendo las siguientes: - Leer todas las instrucciones con atención, incluso si se está familiarizado con el aparato. - Nunca sumergir la sandwichera o el cable de suministro de potencia en agua u otros líquidos. - Es necesaria una estricta supervisión cuando el aparato es utilizado por o cerca de los niños. Nunca dejar la sandwichera sin vigilancia mientras esté enchufada. - No tocar la superficie caliente. Utilizar el asa para mover el aparato. - Asegurarse siempre de que el aparato está en "OFF" (paro) y desenchufado de la toma de corriente de la pared mientras no se utilice. Dejar que se enfríe antes de cogerlo, de quitar piezas y antes de la limpieza. - Asegurarse de que el cable de suministro de potencia no esté en contacto con una superficie caliente de la sandwichera. EL PROCESO NORMAL DE FABRICACIÓN INCLUYE EL USO DE ACEITES. EL HUMO DESAPARECERÁ CON SEGURIDAD EN UNOS MINUTOS. UTILIZACIÓN DE LA SANDWICHERA POR PRIMERA VEZ - Abrir la sandwichera desplazando el cierre situado en el centro del asa. - Quitar o limpiar la pequeña cantidad de aceite que haya sobre las placas de tostar. - Hacer esto solamente la primera vez. No es necesario repetir esta operación. FUNCIONAMIENTO - Enchufarla a una toma de corriente. - Cerrar la tapa de la sandwichera. Para precalentar conectar la potencia "ON" y esperar unos 3 minutos. - La temperatura correcta de funcionamiento habrá sido alcanzada cuando la luz roja se apague. - Durante el funcionamiento, la luz indicadora de la temperatura se encenderá y apagará, y ello indica que el termostato está funcionando correctamente. - Para obtener bocadillos con un buen tostado, recomendamos untar ligeramente la cara exterior del panecillo con mantequilla, es decir el relleno del bocadillo estará colocado entre las caras sin mantequilla. Si se decide no hacer esto, puede suceder que después de haber tostado un determinado número de bocadillos, las placas de tostar tengan que ser untadas con margarina, mantequilla o aceite. - Colocar los bocadillos en la sandwichera y con suavidad pero con firmeza cerrar la tapa hasta que se nota que el cierre encaja en su lugar. No forzar la tapa hacia abajo. - Dejar que el bocadillo se tueste durante unos dos minutos. El tiempo de tostado depende del gusto. La sandwichera tostará ambos lados del bocadillo al mismo tiempo y sellará el condimento. En la mayoría de los casos el bocadillo será cortado por la mitad, por medio del separador, o requerirá una suave presión con un cuchillo para separarlos. Con rellenos "duros" tal como pan de fibra, o bocadillos muy gruesos, quizá se tengan que cortar aparte. 4 - Aunque las placas están cubiertas de un material antiadherente, algunos rellenos se pueden fundir dando lugar a que el bocadillo se adhiera a las placas. Para liberar los bocadillos, utilizar una espátula de plástico o de madera. Nunca utilizar un objeto cortante tal como un cuchillo, ya que podría dañar el recubrimiento antiadherente. AVISO: Durante el uso las placas pueden calentarse mucho, y por tanto ha de mantenerse la máxima precaución. PARA UNOS RESULTADOS DE COCCIÓN ÓPTIMOS - Siempre precalentar la sandwichera. - Siempre untar con mantequilla las caras exteriores de las rebanadas del panecillo. - Recomendamos la utilización de quesos Cheddar. Evitar la utilización de quesos procesados ya que estos tienden a fundirse excesivamente a altas temperaturas. - Una cucharilla de azúcar espolvoreado sobre las caras untadas con mantequilla hace que los bocadillos tostados sean más crujientes. LIMPIEZA Y ALMACENAMIENTO Antes de la limpieza: Desconectar la unidad de la toma de potencia. Quitar el enchufe de la toma de corriente y dejar que la sandwichera se enfríe. Interior: Limpiar las placas y los separadores con un trapo húmedo. Exterior: Limpiar con un paño suave que haya sido enjuagado casi seco en agua jabonosa caliente. Secarla con un trapo suave. No utilizar fibras metálicas, estropajos, o almohadillas abrasivas, en ninguna de las caras interior o exterior de la sandwichera. La sandwichera llegará a ser rápidamente un aparato familiar indispensable. Por favor, asegurarse de que se utiliza correctamente de acuerdo con estas instrucciones. Sus características de diseño de calidad permitirán su utilización durante años sin problemas. RELLENOS DE LOS BOCADILLOS PARA LA SANDWICHERA - Utilizar pan oscuro, totalmente integral, blanco o de centeno adecuado al tamaño de la sandwichera. - Untar con mantequilla un lado del panecillo solamente con una delgada capa de margarina o mantequilla. - Los rellenos indicados son adecuados para 4-6 bocadillos. THE NORMAL MANUFACTURING PROCESS INCLUDES THE USE OF OILS. THE SMOKING WILL STOP AFTER A FEW MINUTES. USING THE SANDWICH TOASTER FOR THE FIRST TIME - Open the sandwich toaster by moving the latch in the centre of the handle. - Remove or clean any oil that may remain on the toasting plates. - This operation is only necessary when using for the first time. DIRECTIONS FOR USE - Plug into the mains. - Close the top of the sandwich toaster. To preheat, turn "ON" and wait for about 3 minutes. - The correct operating temperature will have been reached when the red light extinguishes. - During use, the operating light will turn on and off. This indicates that the thermostat is working correctly. - To obtain well-toasted sandwiches, we recommend lightly smearing the outer surface of the bread with butter, that is, the filling will be placed between the sides without butter. Be very careful when using the sandwich toaster. 6 FOR BEST RESULTS - Always preheat the sandwich toaster. - Always smear the outer surface of the bread slices with butter. - We recommend using Cheddar cheeses. Avoid using processed cheeses as these tend to melt too much at high temperatures. - A teaspoon of sugar sprinkled on the sides smeared with butter will make the bread more crunchy. CLEANING AND STORAGE Before cleaning: Turn off. Remove the plug from the mains socket and allow the sandwich toaster to cool. Inside: Clean the plates and separators with a damp cloth. Outside: Clean with a soft cloth that has been wrung almost dry after immersing in hot soapy water. Use another soft cloth to dry. Do not use metal or plastic scourers or abrasive pads on the sandwich toaster's inside or outside surfaces. The sandwich toaster will quickly become an indispensable appliance for the family.
